Requests and bookings

When you request a resource or book a meeting, the site collects your name, email address, phone number, and the message you enter. Bookings also include the meeting date and time. These details are used to respond to your request, manage your appointment, send confirmation emails, and prevent duplicate or abusive submissions. Form details are stored in the website’s backend; they are not displayed publicly.

Email and newsletter

When email delivery is enabled, website confirmations and notifications use Thomas’s Gmail account. Earlier website emails were processed through Resend. The newsletter, The DeRoussel Minute, is managed through Beehiiv. Submitting a resource request or booking also requests newsletter enrollment, as stated beside the submit button. New subscribers are asked to confirm by email. You can unsubscribe through any newsletter email; an existing unsubscribe preference is preserved.

The owner’s Google connection

Only Thomas connects a Google account to operate the website’s outgoing email. The connection checks the account’s email address and requests permission to send messages. It does not request permission to read the inbox. Google credentials are kept server-side and excluded from the public site files.

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google account information is used for account verification and website email delivery.

Service providers

The website runs on Sites hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure. When enabled, Gmail processes outgoing website emails. Beehiiv processes newsletter subscriptions. These providers receive the information needed to supply their services. Hosting and security services may also process technical information about requests, such as IP addresses and browser information. Details submitted through forms are not sold.

Keeping and updating your details

Requests and bookings remain stored so Thomas can respond and manage them. To request access, a correction, or deletion of your information, contact tderoussel@gmail.com. Include the request or booking reference if you have it. Newsletter unsubscribe links manage your newsletter preference separately.

Other websites

Links and newsletter embeds may take you to services with their own privacy policies. Those services are responsible for the information you share with them.
